Palazzo Arone dei Baroni di Valentino

We had the 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom apartment on the top floor. Located in the very centre of the old city of Palermo (a UNESCO world heritage site), the location was absolutely perfect. There were brilliant views down the historic Main Street from balconies off the master bedroom, living room, and dining room. The apartment was beautifully appointed with comfortable beds. Federica, our principal host, was exceptional in how well she looked after us. Anything we needed was immediately possible. Sara and Federica were both absolutely wonderful hosts!

This beautiful small palace has just a few guest rooms and you immediately feel like a family member. Our room was serviceable but not special--but the rest of the palace made this stay memorable. The staff are welcoming and helpful and eating breakfast in the formally set dining room is a pleasure. Perfect location--amazingly quiet rooms in the midst of the busiest area of Palermo.

Really great location and how fabulous to stay in an historic palazzo where the guests rooms are fitted out beautifully and there are still the historic furnished and decorated formal rooms of the palazzo. The staff were great. The lady who was meeting and greeting was superb. She was most helpful and on hearing that our morning airport taxi was booked for 8am she immediately offered an earlier breakfast, she also did a wonderful tour of the palazzo’s formal rooms. The breakfast was delicious and what a great room to dine in.

The property was beautiful. We didnt do the tour but our room, the front hall, the lounge area and breakfast room were so beautifully decorated. Everything was super clean and maintained too. We had daily cleaning too. Federica in reception was super nice and helped us with some shuttle bookings and recommendations from day one. She always had a smile on her face too. Breakfast was delicious from salty things to pastries. Also the location was perfect half of block away from the main street were all restaurants and attractions are in each direction but no noise once you walked inside the building

Breakfasts provided leisurely opportunities to meet other guests around a lavish table. The location is superb for 'oldies' who can't walk very far; Palermo offers so many fine things to see (and to eat) in the cento storico. The staff were uniformly charming and helpful. Great recommendations for fine dining! I think a few down-market suggestions would help. (Street food, for example).
